A pencil has been moved under one eyeglass, to lift it up slightly, so that the other eyeglass is as parallel to the flatbed surface as possible. A ruler has been placed on top of the flatbed (between flatbed and eyeglass).

Cover the eyeglass with a piece of paper when scanning.
